1. Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of NemoRouterand all associated services, software, and platforms (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to this AUP.
You — not NemoRouter — are solely responsible for your prompts, your use of model outputs, and the conduct of any application or end user you allow to access the Services through your account or keys. Violations of this AUP may result in immediate suspension, credit forfeiture, financial cost recovery, and referral to law enforcement (see Section 4).
2. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use, and not to encourage or allow any user or third party to use, NemoRouter to:
- Illegal Activities: Conduct or promote any illegal activities, including fraud, money laundering, child exploitation, or terrorism.
- Harmful Content: Generate, distribute, or promote hate speech, harassment, defamation, explicit self-harm, or non-consensual explicit imagery.
- Deception: Generate deepfakes, impersonate others, or conduct automated mass disinformation campaigns (e.g., botnets, automated spam).
- Security Violations: Attempt to bypass guardrails, conduct unauthorized penetration testing, distribute malware, or execute prompt injection attacks against our systems or upstream providers.
- Billing & Metering Circumvention: Bypass, probe, or exploit billing, credit enforcement, rate limits, or pricing — including exploiting bugs, race conditions, retry/automation loops engineered to obtain unmetered or unpaid usage, or abusing free or promotional credits via multiple accounts.
- Payment Fraud: Purchase credits with stolen, unauthorized, or fraudulent payment instruments, or initiate chargebacks for validly consumed usage.
- Key Misuse & Data Leaking: Share, sell, sublicense, or publicly expose API keys; use the Services to exfiltrate, leak, or disclose data you are not authorized to access or disclose.
- Account Evasion: Create new accounts to evade a suspension, termination, or enforcement action.
- Abusive Usage: Overload, flood, or spam the API beyond defined rate limits in a way that degrades the Services for others.
- Infringement: Violate the intellectual property, privacy, or proprietary rights of third parties.
3. Upstream Provider Policies
Because NemoRouteracts as a router to upstream foundational models (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google), you are also bound by their respective acceptable use policies. Violating an upstream provider's AUP through our proxy is considered a violation of this AUP.
4. Enforcement, Cost Recovery & Remediation
We reserve the right, but do not assume the obligation, to investigate any violation of this AUP. We may:
- Suspend or terminate your access to the Services immediately and without notice, with forfeiture of remaining credits where the violation involves fraud, billing circumvention, or illegal activity.
- Charge your payment method on file for the full retail value of any usage obtained through fraud, exploitation of bugs, automation/retry loops, or circumvention of billing, rate limits, or credit enforcement — plus our reasonable investigation, mitigation, chargeback, and collection costs (see Terms of Service Section 15).
- Filter or block specific prompts or generations using automated guardrails.
- Report illegal activity to payment networks, upstream providers, and relevant law enforcement authorities, and cooperate fully with lawful investigations and legal process.
- Pursue all available civil and criminal remedies.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NemoRouter assumes no responsibility or liability for user content or conduct, and enforcement (or non-enforcement) of this AUP does not create any duty to any user or third party. Responsibility for any violation — and for all resulting damage, loss, or legal exposure — rests solely with the violating account holder, who must indemnify us as set out in the Terms of Service.
5. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP by any person, please notify us immediately at legal@nemorouter.ai.
